Northwest railway plan from Casper Wyoming to Eureka Bay California funded by the Southwestern Trust of Kansas City. Preliminary survey to start within two weeks, Boise through line via Bitter Root pass and Blaine Cus ter Elmore counties, tapping Big Hole coal and Teton fields, Yellowstone park, timber belts, and stock country. Promoters expect August 15 arrival in Boise to plan survey. total cost projected at 80 to 50 million for construction and equipment.
Last Wednesday Thomas B. Wilde struck a three foot ledge of high grade ore at the Turtle mines near Bayhorse. The deposit contains gold, silver, copper and lead and is operated by Ores Metal Production company of Philadelphia. under Wilde’s management, a small force works the mine. The strike promises a permanent ore body that will position the Turtle mines among top producers.
