Valley canals to reclaim 20000 acres in Round Valley
Surveyors report about 20 000 acres on both sides of Salmon river in Round Valley will be reclaimed by two large canals built by Truitt and Lane. Main canal will run east of Salmon river near Bayhorse high grade, 16 feet bottom width, 24 feet top width, and carry 4 feet of water. Project expected to attract a railroad or electric line to Salmon City and spur growth in the valley. A funeral notice follows for Philip Hallaran aged about 75 who died at Beardsley Hot Springs near Challis Idaho on April 20 1900.
