A United States naval surgeon advocates substituting wood pulp for flaxseed meal in poultices. He describes soaking a pulp sheet in hot water, applying it to the surface, and using it repeatedly for hours without cloths or cooking. The method claims absorbent, economical, and simple, though warnings about untrained handlers appear.
Alexander MacArthur, famed author of a Paris life study, is revealed as Lilung MacArthur who wrote under the name Alexander after leaving Dublin. The Chicago dinner, attended by lake city literary figures, becomes a scene of comic mistaken identity as the author uncovers his own pen name.
A Philadelphia Record described several extraordinary apple trees near Stuart in Patrick County Virginia. The largest measures nine feet five inches in girth with multiple heavy branches, yielding as high as 110 bushels in a season. Nearby trees, including the Robertson parent tree two miles away, have produced up to 85 bushels per bearing and remain productive at advanced ages.

In the District Court of the Sixth Judicial District of Idaho in Custer County Maude Bradley sues James Bradley for dissolution of marriage and child custody, alleging neglect and intemperance. If not answered within the prescribed days the plaintiff may seek relief including custody of Kenneth Floyd and Jessie Bradley by their grandparents Emme and Joseph Ebberts. The case was filed January 1 1910 with publication May 18 1940.
The State of Idaho sends greeting to Blanche Newman the defendant in Custer County. Plaintiff F Newman files suit in the Sixth Judicial District and requires her to appear and answer within twenty days after service, as set in the complaint attached.
