John McIntosh was convicted of first degree murder in Cass County circuit court and sentenced by Judge Chase to life in the Indiana state prison. He denied threats against the court, claiming witnesses lied about saloon trouble. authorities noted a revolver found in his cell. McIntosh was to be moved to Michigan City soon.
The Grand Commandery Knights Templar of the state will meet in this city on April 19 with an expected 600 Knights. The event will occur at the Masonic Temple, featuring parades by visiting commanderies bands and an evening banquet at the temple.

Survived by brothers T J, John, James and sisters Mrs Gould and Mrs Wyatt.
