Railroad Divorce Plan Is Received
National News Association reports in St Paul that a plan to separate stock interests of Union Pacific and Southern Pacific railroads was presented to a federal court for approval. The scheme, approved by the president and Attorney General McReynolds, would see Union Pacific sell 38.3924 million dollars in Southern Pacific stock to the Pennsylvania Railroad and receive 42.4472 million dollars of Baltimore and Ohio securities in exchange. Remaining Southern Pacific stock, about 88 million, would be held in trust to collect dividends starting April 1, 1913, with voting rights restricted to court direction. The trustee would register stock but not vote, and Union Pacific may offer pro rata certificates of interest to its stockholders. Negotiable receipts would be issued as part payments, and trustees must report financial actions to the court and attorney general.

Suspicion falls on John Woods Indianapolis elevator boy previously at Westcott who was seen entering the shop before six. Woods reportedly spoke with a woman near Pennsylvania Station before six and may have caught the six o'clock train to Cincinnati. Police notified in Cincinnati. other articles also stolen. none of the razors taken. Woods described as medium height with a cast in one eye and impediment in speech. Chief Gorman expects early apprehension.
