A mob of about a dozen farmers armed with rifles shotguns and revolvers cornered Jim Miller a Hartford City man near Economy last night. He was held for about two hours at a rail fence corner on the Will Williamson farm while authorities investigated. Miller claimed to roam the country work as a farm hand and denied horse stealing stating he was merely seeking a resting place as a globe trotter.

Second Chapter in Bookhart Case Opens in Court
In a second chapter of the Bookhart case Harry Bookhart returned home and assaulted his wife after she visited Miss Beatrice Virginia Pierce. Pierce was arrested for pointing a dangerous weapon at Mrs Bookhart. Officer Hirschfield brought Bookhart to jail on assault and battery charges and his case may be heard in the morning. Prosecutor Ladd sought a heavy bond for Pierce amid reports Bookhart had $342.15 on his person after withdrawing funds from the bank.
