Motorcycle Rider Injured In Headlong Crash Near Richmond
Elmer Klinger and Miss Pearl Packer, both local, were injured while joyriding on a motorcycle on the National road between Richmond and Centerville. Klinger is in serious condition with a compound fracture of the left leg near the ankle and a left wrist fracture, plus severe bruising. Miss Packer suffered a broken piece of the left hipbone and other bruises. The motorcycle, moving west at about twenty five miles per hour, collided with an automobile driven by Erman Smith of Richmond, whose car suffered only minor damage. Smith and his passenger Walter Engle escaped injuries. The injured were taken to Reid Memorial hospital by Alfred Collett of Richmond. Continuous coverage noted on page three.

Jealous Saine Girl Stabs Fickle Lover in Jealous Rage
Lucy Saine a sixteen year old girl or colored descent pleads guilty after injuring her lover Aubrey Austin with a penknife. He is in a sling and she is fined ten dollars plus costs. Aubrey sought a loan to pay the fine but was refused and Lucy was jailed. The incident followed a party on North Fourth Street where Aubrey escorted another girl. Lucy confessed jealousy drove the attack saying she merely meant to wound, not kill. Prosecutor Reller and the mayor heard her statement.
