Delegates urge legislature to pass a bill requiring qualifications for engineers before hire. The eleventh annual state convention of the National Association of Stationary Engineers and Central States Exhibitors' Association opened at the Eagles' hall with an expected five hundred attendees including engineers, exhibitors, and guests. Exhibits show steam appliances and stationary engineer supplies from coast to coast. Mayor William J. Robbins welcomed delegates, and Fred W. Raven spoke for the engineers. E. G. Indianapolis June 16 Judge Duncan chairing the Indiana Public Utilities Commission ruled that a single valuation should apply for both purchase and rate making in the Richmond Light, Heat & Power condemnation case.
