A deal to transfer the Westcott hotel lease from Warden Interests to Henry Starr of Indianapolis Lee Ashley of this city and William Cunningham of Cincinnati is expected to close today. The building is owned by Al Brown of Richmond and French Lick Springs Indiana. If completed Cunningham will become manager aided by Ashley. The Westcott has seen frequent management changes over the past decade.

Club Opposes City Buy Of Private Electric Plant

Morgan Succumbs at Reid Memorial in Connersville
Charles Morgan, a Black man, died at Reid hospital from uraemia after a police raid last Sunday in which his wife and ten others were arrested. Awaiting trial on operating a blind tiger charge, he was buried in Earlham cemetery after a 2 PM funeral at his Fort Wayne avenue home. He left a wife and two married daughters and was active in the Connersville Masonic lodge.

Colored man fights in North End stabbing incident
Three years after a fatal saloon row that left Arthur Saunders dead, Green Parks, a colored man, was nearly killed last night. He fought with Carl Keyne, a Black man from Muncie, in North Thirteenth and F Streets while accompanied by a woman believed to be Parks' wife. Keyne stabbed Parks in the neck, requiring ten stitches. Parks was found later on North Sixth Street and hospitalized. Keyne was arrested for assault with intent to kill.
