Chicago dispatch reports two Alabama delegates switching from Taft to Roosevelt signals a budding scramble at the Republican convention. Roosevelt supporters hail the move as a sign of victory while Taft camps call it only a single shift in a crowded battle for delegates.
James E. Clark sues Enos Wright in Wayne circuit court claiming $150 for labor he performed for the defendant. The filing seeks recovery of the disputed amount based on services rendered.
Alfred Coffin attacked his wife at their home in South Sixth and D streets, biting her cheeks and choking her, then struck her with a stove poker and cut her skull. John Votan, an insane man being transported from Marion to an Indianapolis asylum, was shot and killed at Rigdon in Madison County when he tried to fire a concealed revolver at Marion police Captain Thompson. In Lick Run, a Cincinnati suburb, three men and two women died when they fell into a dairy malt well. Owner Jacob Sachs slipped on a plank and fell in, drawing others into the pit as they tried to help. Names listed include Joseph Niehoff Mrs Annie Esplage Mrs Keester and Robert Atkinson.

They married November 34 1906 and he left May 14 1910. she seeks custody of their child Frances E Skinner.
In Columbus on June 4 the Taft forces secured six delegates at large for Chicago by a 388% to 264% vote. Roosevelt supporters charged steamroller tactics, while Taft backers claimed the primary reflected the voters. Senator Burton was elected permanent chairman as tensions flared over Roosevelt references.
Robert J. Paddock filed a damage suit in Wayne circuit court alleging negligence by Pennsylvania Railroad. He claims permanent injuries from a 1911 accident at Elwood while working as a fireman on a freight engine, where a loose fender grab iron caused a fall. He seeks 5000 dollars.
City controller Eibe McMahan has issued 513 dog checks and may order more to meet daily demand. Officials expected 600 would cover needs, but current stock is depleting quickly as dog owners request checks daily and the on hand supply may last only a few days.
