Well Rounded Citizen Mrs Tate Dies in High Point
One of High Point's oldest residents Mrs Mary Alice Tate aged 83 died Friday night at her daughter's home on Steele street after a fall five months earlier left her with a fractured hip. Born in Ireland she lived in Canada before moving to High Point around 1871. She was a devoted mother of nine and a lifelong Methodist, with funeral services held Sunday at her residence followed by interment in Oakwood cemetery.
