John Wade sentenced to one year in county jail
John Wade a noted bootlegger from High Point was captured on the Greensboro High Point road with a car packed with liquor. He pleaded guilty to possessing whiskey for sale and was sentenced by Judge Shaw to 12 months in the county jail after being caught distributing liquor to a crowd.
