Yesterday evening about 6 40 the Ford driven by R L Coley with Mrs Coley and Mr and Mrs J W Lee aboard turned turtle on the Kreensboro road near the Williard place. The occupants were pinned underneath and seriously injured.

Grand jury drawn as Greensboro criminal term begins

The September term of Superior Court convened Monday in Greensboro with Judge James L. Webb and Solicitor Bower presiding over about 65 cases on the docket. Grand jury foreman C. J. Brockmann led a list of 17 members as Inde Webb outlined duties and scope of juror authority during a two hour charge. Arraignment set for murder suspect John Tt. Stewart. Westside postmaster W. H Dowdy now serves as acting post master.

South Furniture Men Meet Here

The Southern Partnered Manufacturers association will meet in High Point for their annual gathering on Wednesday November 8. The city, a center of the southern furniture industry, expects a warm welcome and a big time. Officers include J. H. Finley president North Wilkesboro C. F. Tomlinson vice president High Point F. S. Attempt to remove Mitchell case over Forsyth trial

Charles E. Hunt longtime Friendship resident died suddenly at his home Sunday afternoon likely from heart trouble. He had returned from a morning car trip to High Point. found dead alone in a room. Survived by widow and two children, son and daughter. He was son of the late J. D. Hunt.

At a meeting of the Merchants Association last week the industrial department of the Commercial club was endorsed and the association pledged help to advance work beneficial to the city. In a Superior Court session whiskey cases appear briefly with June Williard’s case not pressed, Bob Wade absent and bond forfeited, Clark Bower’s case continued due to illness, and Ben Johnson, colored, received six months on the roads after entering Watson’s store.
