Slanderer Run Out of Town After Court Action

A man named Shepard also called Gaston and employed by Mellichampe Bros. and Petrie Printing Co was arrested for slandering a city young lady. He received six months on the county roads, then was ordered to pay costs and to leave town by 430 p m and depart the state. He departed for Jamestown afoot after signing a sworn denial of the accusations.
