Four Months Each For Possessing Whiskey For Sale

Four months imprisonment was imposed on Menese Williard and C W Bolling on county roads after they were found with 40 gallons of whiskey intended for sale. An appeal was filed with bonds of 500 dollars for each, furnished by Greensboro officers who seized the boys and the auto during fair week. The youths claim ignorance of the whiskey’s presence in the locked rear of the car.

Shooting incident ends in minor scalp wound

J. W. Bennett shot Heuben Vail on Sunday night but the ball struck the skull and glanced off, causing only a scalp wound. Vail smashed furniture at Pearl Mays home after a dispute over the girl, then pursued Bennett but suffered the failed attempt.
