Mrs Harris of Randolph County Dies After Long Illness
Mrs Roella M Harris aged 60 died Thursday night at 9 45 at her home near the Hoover Hill mining property fifteen miles south of the city after a year of declining health and a February stroke. She was born in Randolph County the daughter of S D and Jane Pierce and married to R F Harris, mother of four sons including a High Point resident. Edna Sechrest and Nina White left Friday for Philadelphia to visit Miss White's parents and tour New York Baltimore and Washington.

High Point Industrial Growth Captured By Chamber Report
High Point's industrial progress since January is being compiled by the chamber of commerce for release midweek. The report shows 55 new dwellings 18 new factories 12 factory additions five new firms moved into old buildings two new bakeries six new merchants one laundry one landscape gardening company and one life insurance agency. A 20000 square foot warehouse permit is noted and several larger projects are under consideration. The chamber plans a census to reflect population gains linked to industry.
