Deputy sheriff raids still near Deep River church

Deputy Sheriff Wagoner and other officers raided a still near Deep River church run by J S Morris. The still was destroyed and 1000 gallons of beer poured out. Morris was captured after a chase and brought here. He waived preliminary hearing before Commissioner Brown and was bound over in the sum of 1000 dollars.

Methodist Appointments Dinner in High Point

High Point Methodists welcome Rev. W. A. Lambeth to Wesley Memorial. He was raised in Thomasville. Dr. Rowe goes to Winston and will be near us. Rev. J. H. Earnhardt remains presiding elder of the Greensboro district. W. A. Barber continues at East End church. Rev. H. H. Robbins is returned to Main Street church.
