Veteran Confederate Walker Heads to Richmond on Foot

City Council Meets Passes Salaries and Plans Cuts
At Tuesday night’s meeting the City Council approved appointments including Carter Dalton as Recorder at 600 dollars annually and T W Albertson as prosecuting attorney at 420 dollars. W C York was named superintendent of waterworks electric lighting and sewers at 200 dollars yearly with a lineman, and the chief of police salary was debated.
