Direct to Consumer Firm Formed to Market Local Goods

A new Direct to Consumer Corporation based in High Point plans to market furniture and other local factory products by mail order. With a capital of a quarter million dollars, officers include S. C. Clark president G. M. Field vice president and M. C. Crowson treasurer. The venture aims to ship straight from the 40 factories to customers, undercut Chicago and New York rivals.

Lebanon Methodist Protestant church to be dedicated

The Lebanon Methodist Protestant church of Mechanicsville will be dedicated Sunday at eleven with Rev Andrews, conference president, delivering the dedication sermon. A Cedar Rapids postal card mailed January 2, 1911, arrived in High Point March 18, 1919 after eight years in transit. The addressee had died en route and the card was received by his son. The card showed no wear and the recipient credited Postmaster General Burleson for delivering the goods.
