Former High Point Minister Dies in Concord

Rev W R Lowdermilk former pastor of Main Street M E church in this city died in Concord Tuesday afternoon after a paralytic stroke. He served the church here about 17 years ago and was well liked. The remains will be interred in Concord. He was 55. An enthusiastic Junior Order member, they will take part in the burial services. Funeral at Main Street M P church at 2 this afternoon conducted by Rev A G Dixon.

Farm Sold Tuesday by Martine Clinard 130 Acres

The Martine Clinard farm of 130 acres sold Tuesday. Mike Ship Jett supervised the sale. D. H. Baker bid the farm in as a whole for about $6,000, after bidding first on single tracts, then double, with the whole bid exceeding the later tract bids combined.

Death of Uncle Sam Hoover at 87 in Elks Home

Sam Hoover aged 87 died Tuesday night after months of illness. Born in Randol county he moved to Indiana as a young man and returned eight years ago to live at the Elks Home, where he was loved. Survived by two sons Fred P. Hoover of Bloomington and Foster Hoover of Texas. Funeral today at 2:30 from the Elk's Home led by Rev. Sylvester Newlim. interment in the local area. He belonged to Guilford Council No. 23 Jr. O U A M.

Hospital Question Dead Beyond Recall

City physicians pledged about 12000 toward the Methodist Hospital proposal leaving 38000 of the 50000 needed. The Review will join 100 to pledge the amount if deemed worthwhile and the editor believes 99 more in the city would contribute with proper approach.
