Durham Tragedy Ties Anderon and Lottie Taylor

Death by gunfire and subsequent suicide occurred in Durham last week. Don Anderson and Lottie Taylor lived as husband and wife in Durham and High Point. A man named Flowers, once involved with Taylor, followed the couple to the area. Friends say Anderson killed Taylor in a jealous act before taking his own life after learning of their whereabouts. Some say Anderson and Taylor were wed.

Big storm sweeps Piedmont North Carolina town

A severe electrical storm struck Piedmont Tuesday causing extensive damage. Lightning ripped brick from the Redding building near the Review office and knocked out power, leaving Greensboro in darkness. Mat ton Drug Co and Dr Betts were stunned, wires damaged, and several narrow escapes reported. The storm flooded Greensboro, damaged crops, and washed track for the Southern railroad.

Raleigh woman backs High Point library fund drive
