Buckwald Brothers Charged in Bankruptcy Conspiracy

L Buckwald and his brother Ben were arrested Tuesday afternoon on a conspiracy to defraud charge tied to their bankruptcy case. The trustee prompted the arrest. bonds of 1000 each were furnished by Isaacson and Greensboro associates. A preliminary trial is set for February 1 before US Commissioner D H Collins. Remains of Judge Edmonds Interred Amid Mount Airy Tribute

The body of W. R. Edmonds, former High Point Municipal Court judge, was transported from Albuquerque to Mt. Airy for funeral services Wednesday. He died January 21 after illness, leaving his widow who arrived from New Mexico four days prior. Edmonds, UNC 1910 graduate, started in Roland then High Point, noted for a brilliant early career and broad friends. The notice also mentions local social items and upcoming events.
