Robbery Attack Leaves Injured Man Near Greensboro

John Swaim, a white man from Pleasant Garden, was held up by two Black assailants on a highway near Greensboro yesterday evening. He fought back until help arrived and was hospitalized at St. Leo's in critical condition.

Wreck on Seaboard at Osgood Causes Fatalities and Injuries

A severe Seaboard wreck at Osgood North Carolina forty two miles below Raleigh Tuesday morning claims Engineer Stone of Raleigh dead and Fireman Hogan severely injured. Express messengers Babbock and Radcliff also injured. A split switch spurred the crash and officials suspect foul play sending blood hounds to the scene.

The Seagrove business district suffered a major blaze early Sunday morning as the large store of Messrs D A and G H Corneilson was completely destroyed. The loss is heavy though not total, with staples groceries clothing hardware and more lost to the flames.
