Fatal Auto Accident Near Asheboro Claims Jewel Bryant
Four people died or were injured in a three mile curve crash south of Asheboro. Jewel Bryant was killed when a Ford driven by L A Bryant of Lewisville turned over. L A Bryant sustained a broken arm and injuries. A younger sister survived uninjured. The Bryant party were moving to Jackson Springs and tried to overtake trucks ahead. The crash was blamed on unfamiliarity with the road and rapid driving.
