Williams was found not guilty of breaking and entering W. T. Powell’s store in municipal court. Lawrence Phillips had half the costs suspended. Co. D Williams and Annie Owens were sentenced to six months on the county roads for immoral conduct, with Owens ordered to leave the city.

Mrs Arena C Wright aged 51 wife of M L Wright died at her home southwest of High Point after a stroke of paralysis on Thursday night at 8 30 She was born February 19 1870 in Montgomery county and had long resided in the area being well known and highly esteemed by neighbors.

City Sings Celebrate Christmas With Community Tree
