Wakefield Mayor T L Moore Dies Suddenly

T L Moore, mayor of Wakefield Virginia and editor of the Enterprise, died suddenly Wednesday morning. The deceased was a brother of B E Moore and served his second term as mayor, elected without a dissenting vote. He will be buried in Washington DC.

Elk's Lodge of Sorrow Memorial Service Held

The Elk's Lodge held its annual memorial service on the first Sunday in December at 3 o'clock. A large crowd gathered to honor departed brothers and those in service to country. Mayor W. P. Ragan died this year and a lodge officer was noted. J. J. Farriss delivered the eulogy and Miss Boyd directed music under Exalted Ruler H. A. Millis.

Thomasville Orphanage reports influenza cases during an epidemic with 410 children affected and no deaths under open air sunlit treatment.
