Two Autos Collide in City Early Tuesday
A Carolina Baking Co truck and a Ford touring car carrying Virginia tourists collided near Montlieu and Centen avenues at 3 am Tuesday. The Ford was badly damaged while the truck had a broken light. One person was injured. Local garage workers repaired the Ford and the tourists resumed their journey after a several hour delay.

Long Monday Court Session Diagnoses Multiple Infractions
High Point municipal court spent most of Monday trying defendants under city and state laws. Callie Hill was convicted of concealed weapons and assault with a deadly weapon, with fines and costs set and an appeal bond posted. Capt George Cathey Marks 100th Birthday in North Carolina
Captain George Cathey, born November 26 1821 near Danville Virginia, celebrated his 100th birthday at the North Carolina home for Confederate veterans. He taught in Georgia and North Carolina schools for nearly eight decades and remains in good health. He served as a Georgia regiment captain during the Civil War. He has three daughters in Atlanta and a son in Charlotte. Daughters of the Confederacy showered gifts including furniture for his room.

Honeycutt Faces Federal Sentence After Plea

Man In Archdale Bank Visit Held On Insanity Claim
A man claiming the name Hancock from Seagrove was arrested by Deputy Sheriff J E Wagner after terrorizing residents near Archdale and threatening to kill a bank cashier who would not cash his check. Zella Peace a deaf and dumb white girl about 15 years old, who wandered from home near High Point, was found in Greensboro. She was taken to Guilford welfare head Mrs. Blanche Carr Stern, and her father T. W. Albertson traveled from High Point to retrieve her. Efforts were underway to place her in Caswell training school in Kinston for proper education.
