Funeral for Mrs John Cox Held on Chestnut Street

The funeral for Mrs John Cox took place Tuesday morning from the Chestnut street residence with Dr A W Claxon presiding. She died Sunday at her parents home after a four week illness with typhoid fever at age 23. husband and relatives mourn the loss.

Effort Underway To Improve Deportant Highway Links

An enthusiastic meeting at Glenoa backed by Randolph County leaders aims to raise about 7000 dollars to construct 13 miles of road. High Point and Asheboro pledge 800 dollars each, with other towns including Sophia Glenda Trinity contributing through their committees. S. L. Davis of High Point chairs the joint committees.

Soldier Boys Drill at Armory Open House Sept
