Mysterious Affair Over Patton Lost Son Mystery

Last week the Review reported finding the lost son of millionaire C F Patton of Philadelphia at Thacker's Dairy three miles northeast of the city. The youth says he went to Greensboro to meet his father to discuss the matter and claims a forthcoming several thousand dollars and an automobile. Some call him a detective, others doubt the tale, while some think the father seeking a lost son story served another purpose.

High Point City Clean-up Week Opens Next Monday

Mayor Fred N. Tate announces a city wide clean-up starting Monday morning April 12 with cooperation from the Woman's Club and local manufacturers. Wagons donated to cover the city in one pass. residents must remove only non burnable rubbish at curbside to avoid extra charges. The effort targets flies and mosquitoes and aims for a healthier year.

Miss Cozie Burgess married Clyde Bass of Charlotte yesterday at the bride’s North Main home with Rev. A G Dixon officiating. The couple will reside in Charlotte where the groom runs a business. Congratulatory messages noted. Also, Capt and Mrs J Parkin hosted a large Easter dinner in Trinity on Monday. Springfield commencement begins today and lasts through tomorrow with talks by Dr W J McAnally and Prof T R Foust and music by the Springfield brass band.
