Teuems of publication state price is two dollars per year with six month advance payments. Papers received by tail or other means cost subscribers. No six month subscriptions. papers end only after arrears are paid. Advertisements cost one dollar per square and 25 cents for each additional insertion. Ads must be paid in cash.
Administrators of the estates of Samuel Pegg Tate of Derry township and John Shuman of Gattawisea township have filed their administrations accounts in Columbia County. The accounts will be presented for confirmation and allowance to the Orphans Court in Danville on the first Monday of January next. Clerk: KLis Hughes. Registers Office, Dec. 5, 1824.
Fragmentary notice from Northumberland Nova indicates a merchant offering a large stock of goods at reduced cash or credit prices before January. It asks those indebted to call soon and mentions a mercantile business decline and location near Walshasuberland.
The Leanville hotel announces it has taken over the Danville property formerly occupied by Mrs Spence and lately by William Jiesser and will operate as a house of public entertainment. The proprietor promises good liquors and accommodation for gentlemen attending courts or arbitrators on moderate terms, with careful attention to hay oats and feed for horses.
Gabriel Keeser announces his intent to occupy the tavern stand on the turnpike from Berwick to Maston formerly run by Peter Stair, about 0 miles from Berwick, to provide liquors and equine accommodations. He laments losses and asks public aid to recover his business. He promises cheap, quality accommodations.
A historical advertisement promotes Dr John G Vought’s Anti-Dysenteric Medicine a vegetable remedy claimed to cure dysentery diarrhea cholera morbus and summer complaint. Certificates from military and civilian readers in 1821 1824 praise rapid relief and call it valuable for families and distant regions. Boxes priced at 4 shillings and sold at the Rochester office and various outlets.
Creditors of Issaiah Willetts late of Cattawissa deceased are summoned to come forward and settle by January 1 next. The executors William McKelvy and Thomas Hartman will meet at the deceased's house in Cattawissa each Friday from September 20 until January 1 to receive claims.
George Sweeney of Danville announces an insolvency application in Columbia County. The Court of Common Pleas has fixed January 1 at the Danville courthouse for creditors to hear the case.
Philip Goodman announces cash payment for hops at current market price. The measure sets the price paid per bushel based on prevailing market values and applies to growers delivering hops to the market. Details specify normal market transactions and timing aligned with standard wholesale practices.
The subscriber announces a fresh addition to stock with a seasonable assortment. Items include saddlery dry goods groceries hardware hollow ware crockery and glass ware fur hats straw bonnets hand saws bar iron steel salt and more.
Complete set of surveying instruments for sale. Anyone wishing to purchase should apply to the subscriber living at Washington. November 24.
Notice to my creditors that the applicant seeks relief under state acts for insolvent debtors. The Court of Common Pleas of Columbia County will hear the matter on the first Monday in January at the Danville courthouse, where creditors may attend if they think proper.
