Horse Thieves Chase Through Canyon City
Sheriff Connell of Hereford Sheriff Hudson of Yoachum and Sheriff Traines of Portales met County Sheriff Sanford and City Marshal Jowell in Canyon City chasing horse thieves near Portales. The posse moved after seeing suspects southwest of the city Tuesday, stopping briefly for fuel and a meal before continuing.
