Western Washington Demonstration Work Train Demonstrated

The Ranch reports a successful June 26 demonstration trip of the Farm Demonstration Train along the Northern Pacific route between Seattle and Tacoma. Staff included Prof. Thatcher, Thornber, Lawrence, Blanchard, Olson, and Sparks. The train carried dairy, horticulture, and poultry equipment, with lectures and many visual aids for fruit and dairy topics. Visits included Kent, Auburn, Sumner, Puyallup, and the Western Washington Experiment Station, drawing hundreds of interested farmers statewide.

Three Northwest States Forecast Wheat Yields

The Oregonian estimates from over 350 stations project about 55 million bushels for Washington, 14 million for Oregon, and 5 to 6 million for Idaho. Total for the three states may fall short of 1907, but higher prices will bring in many millions more than two years ago.
