Monticello Club Names Yearly Committees and Leaders
Monticello club directors appointed thirteen committees for the new year. Members are led by chairs such as Mrs. Mary Miller for Benevolent, Leon ard Warner for Cleanliness, Allen White for Complaint, Iva Poole for Entertainment, Nora Lee Johnson for Membership, Charles Caviness for House, and O. P. Baxter for Publicity, with numerous assistants across the groups. The Finance committee consists of officers, and the Athletic committee will be formed from the Athletic Association.

Pulaski PTA marked Founders Day with a pageant at Jefferson school titled Along the way detailing 43 years of the national organization. The program honored the Pulaski founders, with Rev Mauney leading devotions and a cake reception following.

Talk on Silk Hosiery and rugby club plans at Pulaski High
Mary Lee Hudson, pupil and Mills employee, spoke to Miss Blair's class on silk hosiery from silkworm to finished stockings. Coach Ralph O'Hair plans a Rugby club to join the Illinois Rugby Football Union. The note recalls Tom Mcadoo, a former PHS student now at Roanoke College, eyeing Lutheran seminary.

More than 1,000 pairs of hose were given to the Pulaski Salvation Army by the Paul Mills through president H. W. Steger. The gift will aid children, misses, ladies and men cared for by the local group. Mrs. Garland Rice praised the Salvation Army and the donation.

Despite ragged form and poor shooting the Virginia Maid Indians edged the V P I freshman quintet 43 to 40. Gene Studebaker sparked a late rally with four quick field goals sealing the win after a tight, slow start.

Pulaski High School sports club announces Swingtime Minstrel to be held March 8 at the Jefferson School auditorium.
