President's Fishing Tackle Tour and New York Markets
A long comic missive describes a failed attempt to meet the President in New York and view his fishing gear amid stock and cotton exchange chaos. The narrator, claiming to be a prospective North Carolina gubernatorial candidate, laments doors closed at the gate, riffs on politicking, and shifts to observations on exchanges and futures with sharp humor. The piece blends travel quips with commentary on tariffs, farming protection, and domestic industry.
