A Readable Tramp Oration on Alliance Principles
A fragment from a 19th century Progressive Farmer piece features JOE JACKSON'S ORATION praising the Farmers' Alliance and its Sub Treasury plan. The speaker argues for low interest loans backed by agricultural products, condemns moneyed interests, and notes notable farmer origins of presidents to inspire trust in rural reform. The address defends constitutionality and envisions steadier currency and fair prices for crops.
