Evan Jones Endorses New Peoples Party Movement
Letter from Evan Jones, president of the Farmers State Alliance of Texas, defends Jeffersonian Democracy and warns against demagogues in the Democratic Party. He critiques Mills and Oates, notes sympathy for an independent movement in the South, and urges the Alliance to push for reforms rather than stay with the crumbling party. The piece references the Cincinnati Industrial Union Conference and Ocala demands as context for the Alliance’s stance.
