Ayrshire Meeting Report From 1895 Breeders’ Trust
The 20th annual Ayrshire Breeders Association meeting at Narragansett Hotel Providence RI on January 9 1895 drew about fifty breeders. Officers elected include Obadiah Brown President H R C Watson Vice President C M Winslow Secretary Henry E Smith Treasurer S M Wells Executive Committee O M Winslow J D W French Editing Committee. Secretary and treasurer reported funds and new members while demonstrations on Home Dairy Tests and milk variation were presented. Agriculture notes cover land improvement potash needs fertilizer timing and several practical guidelines for crop care and manure management. A monetary panic warning from NY Voice cautions against private currency schemes.
