Roadster Bill Nye and the Roads of Western North Carolina
A humorous letter from Edgar W. Nye mocks North Carolina road conditions after winning a Worlds Fair medal for a road exhibit. He satirizes local roadwork, labor practices, and corduroy surfaces, noting convicts paving and a colorful ecosystem of mismanaged highways along with political quips about Congress and the President.
