Third Forsyth County Farmers Alliance session 1896 story
Correspondence from The Progressive Farmer recounts the Forsyth County Farmers Alliance third quarterly meeting of 1896 marking its eighth anniversary. It recalls G. B. Pickett's 1888 address in Winston, notes the rise of thirty alliances, the drift of members, and the emphasis on education, labor, and opposition to moneyed power. The piece includes reflections on Bryan and Populist principles, party cooperation, and the need for unity without sacrificing core ideals.
