Remedy for cabbage worms proposed by North Carolina official
In Raieian North Carolina on July 22 791 the Agriculture Department Entomologist offers a remedy for cabbage worms. Mix two quarts coal tar with water in a barrel to impregnate the water in forty eight hours. Sprinkle the tar scented water on cabbages to kill or drive away worms. The scent vanishes as water evaporates leaving no stain. One batch will scent several barrels of water and may benefit North Carolina farmers. W F Massey Horticulturist NC Station supports printing.
