Industrial Conference Platform Declares Union of Labor Forces

Delegates from the North Carolina Farmers Alliance and allied groups report on a massive 1892 gathering in St Louis. The platform calls for national currency reform, free silver, land for settlers, government ownership of railroads and telegraphs, and a nonpartisan push to elect officials who will enforce the laws for labor and rural interests. A mass meeting in Omaha seeks a July National Convention to choose political action separate from the conference.
