Seventh Annual Fair at Shreveport Endures Severe Rain
The Seventh Annual Shreveport Fair opened amid heavy rain and poor conditions echoing the Dallas Exposition. Officials noted worsening weather through Tuesday and Wednesday, with continued downpours that deterred regional visitors. Exhibits from L. Grunewald Co. and Singer Manufacturing Co. drew praise, while other displays highlighted engines, sewing machines, maps, and automotive wares. Local merchants and exhibitors, including Frank D. Sanders and J. F. Heins, presented goods and samples amid the soggy, crowded venue.
