Public school exercises close with honors and dances

The week centered on exams and closing exercises at local schools. Sixth grade medals were awarded to Marguerite Tullos at the Cea Kett street school and to Rova Grotechel at Meloy school, with other honors given to students including Lillian Dingle and Eva Bacon. The high school held diplomas at the courthouse, presented by Dr. Dazell, and teachers praised the graduates. Pentecostal season observances followed with confirmations led by Rabbi Saenger and strong musical offerings. News noted community figures, weddings, illnesses, and local visits, plus travel notices for upcoming train tickets.
