Louisiana Farmers Institute Highlights at Ruston
A ruston meeting led by Major J. G. Lee and Col. A. T. Prescott drew broad farmer turnout. Prescott urged teaching agriculture in schools as foundation knowledge, with W. L. Foster detailing swine value, H.W. McLeod discussing cotton policy, and Prof. R. L. Hines on farmer and teacher institutes. Prof. Clendenin spoke on Louisiana soils and ant hills. Dr. Stubbs and Lee departed early for Palmerville after a day of vigorous discussion.
