Grand Order of the Orient grows in Shreveport city

A secret society in Shreveport, the Grand Order of the Orient, has grown to about seventy five members with four to six new applications per meeting. Weekly Friday ceremonies impress initiates, while the group funds sick and burial benefits and plans a Mardi Gras parade and display. Honorary membership costs 15 dollars, with meetings held above the Commercial National Bank.
