Pocatello Rail Worker Killed in Car Train Crash
James Sidney Kelly, 57, of Hillman Cabins, died at 5 37 PM after a car and his vehicle were dragged across the Maple Street crossing by a northbound engine and caboose. Officer Glenn Hadley witnessed the crash as the train whistled and Kelly, a Union Pacific employee, was thrown and trapped under his car. He died en route to the hospital. Surviving wife Stella Strait and Davenport sister Nora Felt are named. funeral arrangements are by McHan Henderson.
