Senator William E Borah told the Statesman that there is no other way to raise commodity prices and provide fair farmer compensation. He warned that disparity between agricultural and industrial prices threatens prosperity and could derail the recovery act.
Idaho wildlife officials announce a public drawing to grant elk kill permits on the Pocatello preserve. Amos H. Eckert transfers his permit to a waitlisted applicant and will camp on the preserve during the shoot that opens Sunday at midnight.
Ed Nelson and an acquaintance known as Red bet $100 on being robbed overnight. They hid money in a hat and slept. Red woke and left with the money, police reported.
The nationwide hunt for George Kelly known as Machine Gun Kelly focused on Chicago as a photo of J. J. Rosenberg, said to own the armored car in a prior mail heist and the Cunningham murder, was identified by a police source. Theodore Rosenberg, held on an anonymous tip, was released after proving his status as a respected citizen. Two suspects remain in custody in the Federal Reserve bank mail truck robbery case.
