A Boise dispatch reports the Big Lost River Land and Irrigation Co has purchased a reservoir site west of Dickey station to supplement Mackay. The Dickey site will hold about 200,900 acre feet and extend seven miles. an earth dam with concrete core will be built at Bradshaw's butte to impound 200,000 acre feet. Quick financing and construction are anticipated.

Charley Robinson, jailed for intoxication, was freed when George Stone offered to pay the $15 fine. Stone said he would marry Robinson’s wife that night as part of an agreed arrangement, which Judge Moyes approved by accepting the payment and releasing Robinson. Police in San Francisco opened a wide investigation into the death of Eva Swan a Paso Robles school teacher whose body was found last night under an unoccupied house basement. Nitric acid was poured on the corpse and it was buried in a shallow cement sealed grave in a sparsely settled district. The hiding and preservation of the body point to premeditation and a deliberate attempt to destroy evidence.
Charles H. Wardell and Charles D. Drew former assistant weighers in the customs service were found guilty of overt acts in an under weighing scheme. George E. Bodell, chief clerk under former Deputy Surveyor Vail, was acquitted of conspiracy to defraud the government.
