George Emer Crockett 75 longtime Preston Idaho public official died of heart disease in a Salt Lake hospital. He served three terms as Preston mayor two Idaho Senate terms and one as Oneida County sheriff. Survived by widow five sons including George A Crockett of Whitney and E Ray Crockett of Preston and three daughters including Helen Marr Shurtleff of Twin Falls.

Second body recovered from American Falls reservoir
The body of Harry Eller age 25 from Coulee City Wash was pulled from American Falls lake about 8 am today leaving Jack Delatour 33 still missing from a three man boat party that drowned September 15. James Michael Toomey 24 of Pocatello was found 24 miles off the east shore and identified this afternoon. Sheriff Rossiter said searchers had covered the area before and will continue to seek Delatour with nearly 100 volunteers on the lake and about 1 000 people on shore near Rainbow Beach. Funeral services for Toomey set at St Anthony church with rosary Tuesday and burial in Mountain View cemetery.

Cambridge woman killed in U S 95 crash near Cambridge
A 63 year old Cambridge woman Mrs Emma Reed was killed when the car she rode in sideswiped Arvin Pounders car on U S 95 near Cambridge Idaho. Her son Lester Reed and others were injured and taken to Cambridge hospital. Pounders car tires blew but occupants were not hurt. The crash took place last night as Reed’s car swerved off the highway onto a 10 foot grade. Lawrence Wright and Leonard Green were passengers with Pounder.
