State Land Commissioner Edward Woosley announced a plat for the C. A. Robins subdivision in Arco has been filed and the land board will start accepting applications. The first block of eight lots will be offered for sale within days with a limit of one lot per individual.
Mrs Morgenthau Jr Dies at 57 in New York
Mrs Henry Morgenthau Jr wife of the former treasury secretary and niece of former Governor Herbert Lehman died in New York hospital at 57 after a liver illness treated since August 31. Her husband was at her bedside amid a minor heart ailment. She was active in relief groups and Democratic politics and served as a 1928 Democratic national convention at large delegate in Houston.
